Conditions for Application

  • Register with the Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C)/Approved by the National Agency
  • for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC/SON) and other relevant government agencies.
  • Hold a business license from the Local Authorities (where applicable)
  • In full operation for at least two years of the establishment before an application is made.
  • Start-up businesses with less than two years with a business name registered with the C.A.C. are encouraged to apply. 
  • Produce and handle only halal products in compliance with the specified halal standard;
  • Ensure sources for ingredients are halal and choose suppliers who supply halal materials or have obtained recognized halal certificates.
  • Apply to all products/menus the factory/ premise produces.
  • A recognized halal certificate for the said products must accompany applications for repackaging any product.
